Somebody needs to provide a narrative for the famous "villa inn incident". I wasn't there, so I have no idea what happened. Its been 30 years, whatever "statute of limitations" has likely expired. Lets hear the details....

Wasn't the room reserved in the name of some running back from the Cowboys? Think Bratetic was the one who made the reservation. That portion even made it into the article in the Daily Snooze about the "incident".

I missed the whole senior year so some of this stuff isn't ringing a bell with me!! I had enough credits to graduate a year early and I did!!! I think I might have missed alot of fun!!

Yes, Bratetic and Blakeman were the ones who reserved the room.....talk to Kevin Starkel about leaving his date (me) high and dry in the parking lot...to look for the love of his life (at that time)...By the way after 30 years...he has apologized! (-: Love ya Kevin

I think I remember parts.....no....no I dont. Just a blur. I do remember all of the sport teams looking pretty weak for a couple of games.....How come Blakeman was always mentioned in this stuff??????????

I remember the "Villa Inn " incident. Tracy and Lori rented a couple of rooms, and Amy Cox somehow got a bunch of beer, and they lured us guys (baited us really),into coming there, and then we all got into trouble. Anyway, thats what I remember

Ya, thats right skinny, It was the GIRLS that caused the whole thing.....Tony Dorsett would be proud

Nice, don't hold yourselves accountable......tisk, tisk, not at all how I remember it...of course...I don't remember much anyway. I do remember Starkel helping me down stairs to my room at 3PM....I could not walk alone...next thing I know it is 5:30am my alarm is ringing. I do believe I was still under the influence for the rest of the day!

Jon, that 5th and 6th grade pic. from Northern Hills is too funny. The outfits are so "groovy".I don't know how you remembered some of those names(Celeste Stevens). A true blast from the past. thanks

Hi everyone!!

The photo of myself is a 9th grade photo. I left Norfolk in the middle of 9th grade and graduated from So. Sioux.

CARDINALS VS. PANTHERS

I hope I'm still invited to my hometown class reunion!! Actually the Panthers are the BEST!! NO LIE!!!!

So nice to see all the great photos. I have to look twice to remember back that far. It's been wonderful talking to a few of you. Nice job everyone on your PICS!! It looks like I'm the only one from Illinois for both the Panthers and the Cardinals.

Talk to you soon!! By the way, send some Nebr. heat this way. It's cold up here. I live 35 miles from Chicago and 8 miles from the Wisconsin border. Brrrr.....

Mitchell! Always trying to live through my experiances. :) I still think it was his idea to drive the Honda 50 minibike I owned around his house doing laps all day while his parents were gone. You would be surprised how fast sod turns into dirt around a house when you do that. His parents werent so happy with his next door neighbor at 12 years old when they got home that day. Little did they know what would happen when we got to high school.

As for the Villa Inn. Bratetic and I maybe werent the brightest guys that room rental day. At the time when I got back to the car and he told me he was smart enough to use Tony Dorrsett as his name and I was dumb enough to use my own name when I rented the room I felt pretty dumb. At that time we both believed we would never get caught. We both obviously did get caught so it didnt matter! Along with the whole football team that admitted they were there along with the rest of the class pretty much. I had to drive back when the cops were still there because I left my new light blue suit jacket in the other room. I think Starkel or someone else was there with the cops as I snunk in and got it and ran back to the ditch across the street to get my car. I thought I had escaped all the wrath of what happened until I read the paper the next day.

I remember!!! My first kiss!! How are you? I am afraid that there is a whole lot I don't want my 11 year old knowing!!LOL He doesn't believe me anyway because he just laughed and shook his head and said "Sure mom, whatever you say!" I used to see your sisters, but haven't for some years now. I think when I sold Citylimits that I became a mom and a hermit! I hope they are good, and I hope you can make it back for the reunion.

I just learned of Mr. Dorans passing. I hope he had fond memories of the class of 79. Id like to extend my deepest condolences to the Doran family. Dee Dee, Jeff, and all the rest of ya, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. He was always more than fair with me, much more than I often deserved. I will remember that always.

Hey Nadine!!
I found mine too, the 8th grade one and Susan is there. I remember her, but I'm not sure what happened to her. As for Lisa Lewis, I remember having Speech class with her and I thought she graduated, I remember seeing her at parties after we graduated so I'm not sure why she isn't listed here. I guess I haven't been much help but i do have the yearbook. You arent in there... how come? Hows Ellen? Remember greenlawn drive ? great to see ya here !!

Lisa is listed as a classmate (the last name listed is Warren). I have no idea where she is today.

Sue Peterson left after 8th or 9th grade I think. I believe she moved to Sioux City. I remember Sue well, but, again, have no idea where she is today. I'd be happy to add her to the site.

Lisa Lewis Warren was living in Yankton SD not too long ago. Saw her name in a Yankton paper while visiting relatives there.

Hi Ken, I moved to So. Sioux when I was a 9th grader because my fathers business, Penn Life Insurance, was in Sioux City and he was tired of having to drive back and forth all the time. I graduated from So. Sioux!! You know the CARDINALS!! Cardinals vs. Panthers!! We won't talk about it will we Cheryl Shaw, Tammy Blackburn, and Tony Oplinger. I still LOVE the 3 of you girls. Ken, Yes I remember the old neighborhood on Greenlawn Dr. I loved that house!! Living between you and Jay V. WOW!!!!!! Ellen Barrett is my step-sister but she was my BEST FRIEND for yrs. LONG STORY but a Happy Ending!!

Good Morning Everyone!! Another rainy weekend in Illinois. The Norfolk classmates, if you see my sister-in-law from the Hy-Vee store by your mall, Paulynn Zautke, tell her hi for me. This time of the season I believe she is working outside with all the flowers. Last I heard she was working in the pharmacy Dept. Brock is my nephew, and my brother is Rich. Just thought I would pass this info to you since you live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. My father Roy lives on Bel Ridge Drive north of Norfolk.
